Hey everyone, long time trawler, first time baiter... I got one on the hook right now and cant wait to share my beautiful love story of a wealthy young widower rescuing a gorgeous damsel from a refugee camp in Senegal by means of a bank transfer from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Hi all,

I have loved reading some of the fun you've had with scammers. I decided yesterday to get involved when I learned that apparently the director of the FBI had singled me out as a terrorist and drug trafficker and I would most certainly be put in jail and lose my job unless I send $90 to his friend in Nigeria via western union.

My first impulse was to mark his email as if it were a paper I was grading... but then I though he might take the corrections and use them on the next guy. So I made a fake email, pasted in the text of his, and then "replied" to it, asking how this terrible thing could happen and what I could do to make him spray me with the warm pulsations of his love once more.

Right now, I'm just wasting time - mine and his. But if he's replying to my pleas for his merciful shower of goodness, he's not replying to someone else's right? I think I'll see if his friend can meet me - for an extra fee, of course - halfway from his town and the town I'm supposedly traveling to next week.

Morning all, Stumbled across this site a few days ago. Loving the work!
Had a 419 in my inbox the other day, so decided to get started. This lad is too easy though, given me an account in less than 2 days, having given up asking for ID when I said my passport was being renewed... Hasn't even asked for WU or MG. Oh well, there will always be another!
Spent an hour trawling through the hints and tips as well as the safety tips, so I'm all set.

I've been reading all the stories in here for over 2 months now and finally decided to sign up.

I salute all of you armchair vigilantes, you boys and girls who take the time and effort to stop or slow down these disgusting criminals who prey on innocent people. You people are doing a great job and i admire your work.

I've never baited before but the information i found on the site is pretty self-explanatory and i think i shouldn't have much trouble getting started. Very Happy

I hereby promise:

-NEVER to divulge my true intentions, or any information about the baiter site, the forums, other members or other items that would harm this wonderful sport of scambaiting. As far as the lads need to know.... none of these exist.
-NEVER to divulge any personal information such as my: name, address, workplace, phone number, social networking profiles, country or anything of the sorts. I will be like a ninja.
-NEVER to flame the lads ...as tempting as it may be... though i'm not 100% sure i'll be able to resist
-To keep the bait going for as long as possible and do my best to put the lads through hell, by any means necessary
-To have fun

Before i get started, i'd like to know which email domain doesn't send IP's? I have an old Yahoo email that i rarely -if ever- use. Would that be ok?

PS: Though i'm still a cherry, if anybody needs an extra priest/blacksmith/lawyer/CEO/zeppelin captain/porn star/detective/precious bodily fluid specialist/hijacker/etc. for their bait....let me know. Cool

. You seem to have the basics down. IP paranoia is overrated, but Gmail does strip it out of your headers. As for flaming, and insulting them: If you're doing an insult bait, or a dolla-chop, flaming the lads is downright entertaining, without letting them know your intentions.

Hi all,

I just found out about scumbaiting a couple of days ago being unaware of its existence since I have never received (unfortunately Razz

) mails from scammers.

After reading a lot of scambaiting stories in this forum I had so much fun just by reading them that I would really like to give this a go.
So I created a new e-mail account on GMail using fake ID and
personal details but my main issue is how can I increase my chances of receiving a scammer mail.

I would also like to join the Cherrie Mentoring Program but it seems that I can't at the moment and I need to try later.

Try the mentor program again now that you have made a post it should work. You can check out the surplus forum which is full of scammers.

Hey guys! Ive been here for a while lurking like crazy and of course laughing.

Looking for a job and have a few great emails that came back that I would LOVE to have some fun with.
Having been scammed before it would be great to get back at these guys.
Apparently some of these guys give you work, payroll you, and then hit you with a 1mill withdraw. fun. thank god for BOA fraud department.

Hi everyone,

I read about scambaiting 10 years ago when I read through an entire bait involving the Cthulhu Mythos. It was amazing! Way back then I signed up for a throwaway email account, got on some guestbooks and soon had an inbox full of lad emails. But I got cold feet and never responded to any of them.

So a few of the websites I read have mentioned the recent study and that got me interested again. You're probably flooded with new people right now because of that study.

Right now I have a new gmail account and have just barely gotten started with two lads, one a lottery and one a loan. I've read through the tutorial on straight baiting and the 14 scenarios, so I'll just go with straight baiting for now. Though someday I'd love to get some trophies and so forth but right now I hardly know what I'm doing.

I've been baiting for a while, and joined here a while back, but have only recently been active after a long period of lurking, during which I have picked up some great tips and resources at 419eater.

My focus has generally been 419 scammers, but I have crossed paths with some Russian dating scammers as well.

My greatest bait is not yet posted, but I'm working on it. It went on for over a year, with well over 200 emails, during which time I played 5 characters, all taken from Ayn Rand's epic Atlas Shrugged, using photos taken from the t.v. show Six Feet Under.

Just wanted to introduce myself, I've been reading scam baiting on this site and other places for a while and even dabbled a little bit back in 2010. I had some fun exchanging some emails but eventually forgot about the correspondence and let it die. I may post it in the other forum section, but it feels so incomplete after seeing how some of the great dramas have played out on this site.

I am going to keep reading more on the site as it seems that you have it down to a science here. Hope to start doing some baiting myself in the next few weeks and see if I can earn myself some of those fancy pieces of flair for my signature line!
