Ok some of you guys are obvious. I chose bigdaddy because thats what my wife calls me. Who else? Why did you choose it?

Mine came from my first bait, when most of my characters had names based on fast food. Don't ask me why, aside from In-n-Out I don't eat fast food myself. And In-n-Out is special. Ask anyone. I was just messing around, but I rather liked this name.

I think I've explained this before, but here we go...
In my mid-twenties, I got a tatoo of an owl. For a while, my friends called me "hoot". Sometime later, I had a little fender bender while showing off in my car. For a while after that, my friends called me "crash".

Fast forward a few years and I was trying to sign up at a forum, but it kept saying 'that username is already being used'. I was picking names at random and still no success.

In desperation, I decided to make up a name that couldn't possibly have been used before. Those two nicknames came to mind, and crashhoot was born.

@Juan, your name cracked me up when I first saw it. Whenever I see it, I always think to myself, "Juan Freizwidatt, hmm?".

Took me almost a year to figure out Juan's name wasn't just random.

I started Eater with a name that was really random and didn't mean anything. I had never, ever participated in a forum before and I didn't understand how important your forum name could be. However, after a week or so of reading posts, I quickly picked up how cool/neat/personal some names could be and how stupid mine was.

At the very moment I decided to change my name, Dora was playing on the TV. I have a definite love-hate relationship with Dora as I have had to listen to her almost daily since she began in 2000. She drives me nuts, yet I know almost every episode, all her songs, all the characters, etc. So, I became DoraTheExplorer. Very Happy

I have another name that I use for every other forum I'm on, but I didn't want this connected with that. I was at a complete loss for what to call myself until I happened to glance at a copy of Lord of the Rings on my desk.

Not really, It was the Fname of a character I created and played in 2L.
This is just so much better than chasing after slaves.....!
Always had a soft spot (the name) for it ever since and it deserved to live on.

Wonder if any lads play around on 2L?
I did come across scams with goods that would never be delivered after you paid for them, so possibly they have infiltrated it?

funnily enough my RL name would be very effective as if you Google it then you get over 40 million hits and I bet I'm not in the first 40 million, if at all - not baiting safe though Wink

I used to play Dungeons & Dragons in my youth. And when playing he often got injured and needed medical attention to heal. And we introduced this doctor called Dr Mike. He wasn't so much of a doctor as a quack. And we ended up killing him as often as not. At the end we actually sought him up with the sole purpose of killing him. A kind of a love had relationship.

When i first signed up i did it with a name that i use for other forums. However if you google that name you promptly get to one of those forums and it lead right to my name if you did some digging. So i changed it 1 hour after signing up.
