The situation:
Our lad: A gold dust dealer from Ghana
My character: a businessman from London
The situation: Businessman stranded in Cotonou without a passport, with $350.000 in cash on him and has been getting mails from a mr. Gomer through "hacked account" of the Lad.
Businessman told the lad (by phone) that he set up a meeting with his associate (Gomer) for next Friday. Lad tells me he has no associate. Businessman panics, because apparently, someone knows he's there and that he has a lot of cash.. And without a passport he can't go anywhere.
You'd expect the lad to be at least a BIT worried that his dolla is about to be chopped, but this is what I get:

He is far too cool for school!
Time to get him a bit more worked up, maybe your businessman could get kidnapped? |

Possible,
but I've no idea how to take it from there...suggestions? |
Your lad obviously has lost interest? He probably won't be convinced to go on a safari but why not giving it a trial.
In a bar in Cotonou, you just met a European who is travelling frequently in West African countries, e.g. as a MD employed by an international organization like the Médecins Sans Frontières. He's willing to help you and to smuggle you out of Benin into Ghana. You'll be disguised as a paramedic and fly with him in his red cross marked chopper. He's going to his next task in Bolgatanga (northern Ghana) shortly. From Bolgatanga, you will have a connecting red cross flight to England one or two days later.
That's where you can meet your lad, of course at a very tight time schedule. No chance for you to go to Accra.
Médecins Sans Frontières should be understood only as an example - no reason to discredit them when screwing a lad. Just invent something on your own... |
