Well, it's really up to you.
If I were in your shoes, I would wait a little more, then ask: "Only € 6000??? With gold prices skyrocketing these days, why not invest € 60,000? Tell me more about this deal." And then I'd ask for certificates, technical data, ask him to employ a laboratory to check the purity, what are the means of transportation ... That would turn the bait into a gold bait. |

The idea is that you are going to invest. He will think that he can scam you out of € 60,000 or more (instead of measly € 6000) if he sticks with you. And from now on you can control the bait, especially if he has no experience with gold scams.
Of course you would need quotes on the price, and repeatedly so:
"What is the price if I buy 10 kg?"
"There must be a discount if I buy 20 kg."
And the whole thing drawn out over dayyyys. |

He probably means: "Up till now you have always done things differently from how I asked you to, so now follow my instructions." Fat chance! 
In fact, this is now turning into a gold bait. My guess: He "doesn't have a scanner right now" translates to "I need to contact my chairman to give me advice about gold scams."
At this point, you might consider the following:
Start a new thread over at the "Scambaiting Help ..." forum, title "Love bait turned gold bait - help wanted", text: The link to this thread here.
There are a lot of experienced baiters with dozens of very specialised dirty tricks, forms, delays ... who might help you to go on with this bait for a long time.
And the beauty of this bait is that he still needs to continue with the love thing! |

I remember a baiter who sent the lad website addresses with wedding dresses and diamond rings. And Chrys uses to send websites with houses his character wants to buy for the young couple. Make Amos work if he wants your money! |
