It's official. An anchor from the fearsome Queen Anne's Revenge, the vessel of the legendary Blackbeard, has been recovered by archeologists wearing tight rubber suits.

It's just a matter of time until a few (cough) clever 419ers start offering us barnacle-encrusted boxes of gold coins and other pirate-swag that was secretly spirited away from the recovery site, probably for a reasonable "recovery fee" paid by wire transfer.

Maybe they'll offer the anchor itself. What would a 3-ton iron boat-brake be worth these days anyway?
