Getting a lad to damage their computer

Would it be reasonoble of me to hypothetically if talking to a lad on a live chat to get him to edit his registry and very terminally and expensively break his computer?

It occured to me the other day that this would be quite easy to talk some1 through, even an IT novice, however i dont wanna drag an ITP ie cyber cafe owner into repair bills etc

whats peoples thoughts on this??
