The fatherly and motherly members in green are Mods. They will help you if you have found out victims' details or other serious stuff. But it has to be something very serious, not just any pics from your lad. You can browse and post those pictures in here.

I've just gotten my first three in my baiting emailbox, and am so excited to begin!

I already have two personas--the emo atheist teenager (in reply to the very religious one)--the second is almost golden--

I wanted to play as a half-African so I could plausibly set up a meet in Africa--as I "visit every few years to see the family"--and my lad claims to be from Rwanda! So, glory be, my father was murdered in the genocide and my American mother was able to escape with me in 1994.

I've got the third awaiting and it is very religious--maybe High priestess of the Church of Satan and make him renounce Christ?

One things I want new baiters to know that it is ok lose a lad. First off, they might not be really gone. Give them time to lick their wounds and chances are they will come back. If you don't burn them and you always leave them wondering if you would have made the payment or not, they usually will come back. And if they don't? There are always (unfortunately) more.

Got a new idea you want to try out? Go ahead and give it a whirl. What's the worse that will happen?

^^^ I had a very fun 12 email exchange with the lad before he finally gave up. Sure, it didn't last long, but it tickled me how long the lad kept with me being dead. Laughing

Bottom line -- Baiting is an art in some ways. The noobie baiter you are at the start is not who you will be in 1 or 2 years. So don't worry so much. As long as you aren't giving away your personal information or sending money to a lad (cause then you would be a victim), you are wasting a lad's time, so you are doing great! Very Happy

- Learn how to obtain a lad's bank account info and report it to Alan
- Learn how to use some of Duezer's awesome tools - especially creating a fake Westy receipt

As a newbie myself, one thing that i'd like to add to the list is to look through the forums, not just at the FAQs, hints and tips, but at other peoples threads, especially the one about a certain modeling agency Wink

Had me in stitches and taught me a lot, not just about safaris, but how the lad/laddette is always wrong, the hazards of WU, and general communications problems, which of course, are always their fault Smile

And of course, if you're unsure ask.

One more item I would add to the checklist:

(ZZ) Ask the mugu to explain something to you (in detail). For example, get him to explain how to use Western Union, or what a SWIFT code is, etc. It is a neat way to get them off script, and a basic skill every baiter should have in his toolkit.
