Hi all, I haven't baited in a while so I'm a bit rusty to say the least. What I have is a lad
that wants to bail out on filling out the Anti-Terrorist forms. He send me his bank account
details and asked for a bank to bank transfer.

I for one would like to see the forms filled out. After all, the lad didn't drop me when he saw
the forms he just freaked out about them. So my guess is he's fresh meat!

I'm open for suggestions on how to handle this one. Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

And after you report the account to Alan, delay the lad for a few days just in case it gets shut down. Give him some excuse that it takes a few days. Then tell him that your bank rejected the transfer request, and ask him to verify the account numbers and stuff. Do that a few times.

Then tell him it would be much easier if he just did the forms.

OK, I told the lad in my last email that we've been having thunder storms and the power has
been off. I'll just try to keep that going. "My banks computers are down from a big power surge!"

^^ no need for that, just tell him that your bank couldn't do the tranfers due to some uncompatibility of BIC codes/ the account has been flagged... etc.

tell him if he could send you anoter account, more bacon!

you can always send him a mail with this kind of letter you received from your bank.

^^^This document has been referred to in another thread and there was no indication that it could not be used. I see nothing in what the letter reads that it could not be used. I plan on using similar (and have used similar language) in my baits, usually in regard to an international wire transfer.

Lots of ways to handle the bank transfer delays.

1) Start with an all happy email after you finally reached the bank before it closed (good for a couple days) that you were topld by the bank the transfer should be complete within 48 to 72 hours.

2) After 48 hours ask if the transfer has been completed.

3) After 72 hours demand to know what is going on

4) After 4 days tell lad bank left a message on your home answering machine that there was a problem with the transfer but left no details

5) Tell him the end of the next day that the bank manager was not available because he was out for a day (or two, or on holidays for a week)

6) At the same time while you are waiting for the bank manager to return ask the lad the check the details of his account and to check those details with his bank. Remember you are always trying to be helpful, hurry up and wait is a great tactic. You are pushing as hard as you can but nothing ever happens. Nothing better than a lad that red flags his bank manager, his brothers account or the manger of a rent account guy that something unusual is going on.

7) Manager returns takes a day to get you a vague something wrong with the details of the lads account.

More than a week has passed because the lad can't evern do a simple thing like give your character a working bank account.
Evil or Very Mad

Probably the most important thing is be believable. Send messages from your time zone when your character would actually do so.
