Long story short, I used to educate myself here about internet scams and tinker with baiting around the edges. My pal has just had a 'refund due' LETTER from this outfit regarding an overpayment of Mustang rental.

Is the website legit, it just smells odd after so many years why he would be getting offered money back;

A quick glance I do not see anything odd about it. It appears to be a company dealing with class action lawsuits. So your saying your freind got a letter saying he is owed money correct. It may be true. Class acttion suits can take years to settle. I know I bought memory for a computer once and 4 years later I got a check for like $12 as the settlement for a class action suit. I wouldn't tell him to quit his job or anything but atleast probably worth a phone call. Of course I'm assuming he knows for sure he is actualy dealing with the company from the website.

No not an attorney but a class action ambulance chaser I think. I'm sure he is making something from the attorneys for finding complainants. Takes them for the lawyers to sue the big companies. I am totally not an expert at class actions but I think the only real winners are the attorneys Laughing
