Saw the link for this as an ad at the bottom of one of the Eater forum pages:

Other than the bad acting....some "don´t paint them all with the same brush" arguments, but some of the other arguments (like the Bernie Madoff one) are oversimplified.

I haven´t seen any of the others in the series (it is a series), but the need for a series like this just shows how much 419 has contributed to Nigeria`s image in the world.

For many years I worked and managed a major AIDS/HIV research division at one of the 6 AIDS/HIV research divisions in the US. I know many names of the US and international AIDS researchers names.

Dr. Stan Packard (who is featured in this video) is a family practitioner in Texas and not a major research participant in AIDS/HIV. If Dr. Packard's colleague would have discovered a cure for AIDS/HIV, I think it would have made medical news throughout the AIDS/HIV research community. Nothing of this has been published in LANCET or NEJM, which are the medical journals who would have published such scientific discovery.

These are the AIDS Vaccine Evaluation Units in the US which conduct almost 100% of the AIDS Research in the US.

A Pediatric HIV/AIDS clinic opened in Mbeya, Tanzania under the auspices of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX but Dr. Packard is not associated with Baylor.

I can only comment from a point of view of someone who's not seen the video.

"Oh no, not another piggyback fraud."

This perhaps shows my ignorance, and perhaps subconscious prejudice, but why the obvious deception? It's too easy to discredit something so obvious as a similar-name-confusion. Is that one of their themes, ie. that they get people to look a little deeper?
