Advice - relative being scammed!

Hi there,

I was on 419 Eater before for some time and ran some very enjoyable scambaits, having learned lots from the veterans here. I can't access that account anymore because the associated email is long dead, but it had accrued a few piggies and so on.

So...after a hiatus I'm back, but this time to ask some advice. A relative of mine has recently become smitten with a woman he's absolutely convinced is genuine, adores him and is "100% risky free". He met her via www.myfreecams.com, which I felt frankly soiled even investigating - it's full of sex cam women, basically.

Anyways...this woman says her name is Lillian/Lilian, but she also goes by the name Suzanne online, and purports to be from Tanzania. He sent her money for a new computer and she returned it, which he maintains "proves" her genuine nature, but the family feel may simply be a trick to gain his trust and more money in the short-medium term. It worked, because he sent her his bank details against the Consulate's advice. Shocked

It's a long shot that any of you could have any advice given how little information I can get. I've tried and failed to get a photo to track. This relative has become very guarded and suspicious, saying that we're all trying to stop him being happy, keep them apart, etc. He's refusing to listen to any advice about being careful.

So...any advice? I realise this woman could be genuine, a real "tart with a heart" type who really, honestly loves him and is only still stripping for other men in order to make enough money to be with him. But seriously - what are the chances??

Keep trying to get a photo of her, then check it at http://www.tineye.com

Then go to http://www.romancescam.com/album and see if you can find a match there.

In the meantime, take an interest in "her" and gather as much information as you can.... name, city, occupation.... anything.
Email address would be great.

I've had experience with someone who refused to listen & thought the love of their life was genuine.

They won't listen until you have real, preferably photographic, proof from one of their other victims.

Don't try to convince him just yet - gather your evidence first.

My god this freecams site is almost as dodgy as yahell! The FAQ and instruction pages are wiki pages, presumably to not take up bandwidth.

Actually, that's a good idea. Have someone send her an ASEM or even just contact her through the site. If she jumps all over this one as well, then she's at the very least a conniving beeyatch and probably actually a scammer as well.
