Hello everyone,
Long story short, I messed this scammer about and he said he didn't want to do the transaction with me. I have called him and have asked him why but he just hangs up.

Should I drop him, or should I keep annoying him? He sounded pretty mad after our last conversation.

You could create a new baiting email address and start baiting him again. And try and keep the old one going if you are annoying him.

Sometimes you can revive a dying bait by apologizing for all your misunderstandings, screw ups, etc. Then promise you will follow his advice exactly in the future. Presuming your bait got to the stage where the lad asked for money, it can also help to promise you will be able to pay him within the next X days. By making the lad feel like he is back in control and payment is imminent, he may well stay and you can slowly go back to jerking his chain. Razz

If they've asked for money, just mention the money. That usually works. Or, if it was a one-e-mail incident, say someone hacked your email. They do believe incredibly unlikely stories. Desperation.

Whether or not you can get him back, depends on how much time he has invested in you.

If you think you've already lost him, there's no harm in letting him know that you have entered into a similar (better) arrangement with Professor Charles Soludo (Former President of the Central Bank of Nigeria). Let him know that Charles is more professional than he. Be sure to let him know that you are going to make a lot more money, by working with Charles, than you would have made on his small deal.

It may work and it may not, but it will always leave him wondering if he threw away a perfectly good maga. Wink

From my experience, once lads have convinced themselves you are not genuine it's virtually impossible to get them back. I wouldn't waste any time trying. If you like messing with this lad, bait him using another character or two.

As soon as the lad believes that your are a paying victim, he will do anything to hold you.
I recently told my recovery scammer that a guy from the FBI contacted me. The FBI guy wrote even the lad and told him he was a rouge agent and was goingt to get the money of my victim back but for himself.
Later my victim paid some travel expenses to the FBI agent - my lad is now crawling at my feet for three weeks with me only telling him that I need this proof and that proof to believe him.
I am still waiting for the proof that he is a believing christian.
I got a nice collection of badly chopped arrested criminals before...

And always remember - don't work too hard to get the lad back on the hook. If he doesn't bite, drop him - there are plenty of fresh lads out there, who will appreciate your efforts far more than this ungrateful little sod. Wink

If the lad is completely refusing to talk to you, it's most likely over with very little hope of reeling him back in. So at this point it can't hurt to try one or more of the things suggested above - just keep in mind that it may be wasted effort.

However if it amuses you to keep annoying him, by all means feel free. There is certainly nothing wrong with annoying lads even if you don't waste much of their time by doing so, and even if it doesn't move the "bait" ahead any further.
