So, this morning I get a nice email from Denis. I run spamdb.vp44.com so that's where he must have got my address from:

Although there are no blatant spelling mistakes, the guy's email address looked suspicious, so I google'd it. And guess what: http://db.aa419.org/fakebanksview.php?key=51522.

The question is: what does he want from me? I mean, why bother contacting me and making up all that bologna about writing a book?
Does he really think I will give him money to pay for eg., "publishing"?
I mean I know most of those guys didn't go past 3rd grade and have some retard plans to get through in life, but this time I'm really clueless..

He wants to get a look inside the baiting toolbox.
In other words, he wants to know what kind of tricks we're pulling on the scammers, so he can weed out baiters from the replies to his scripts.
Tell him that you appreciate his interest, but you don't want to reveal your techniques as that would put innocent third parties at risk, and besides, you tend to make things up as you go along, however the mood strikes you.

You could also just give him totally bogus incorrect info that would make him think that an actual real victim is baiting him. Not sure how good of an idea that would be, but you definitely don't want to give him anything he could possibly use.

Welcome to eater! If that is your RL email adress you may want to edit it out of your post Laughing

I'd love to see this guys angle. He is up to more than learning about scam baiting. He can read about that on a dozen sites why go through the trouble of emailing someone.

@ Lachesis that was a pretty targeted email and the lad may have the OP RL email address. I might be a little overly cautious but not sure it's smart to try and bait the lad. At least without the OP saying it's ok.

I agree with Bravo: It's doubtful he wants anti scam info and would go to so much effort to get it when there is a ton openly available online. Scammers usually always want one thing: Money.
I don't know what his angle is and am curious. Have you responded?

^^Ah I see now it did not point back to his spam/scammer site because he has it leet on the site when I googled it. All I saw was a ton of techie related results I did not understand and did not know if any RL info was shared in any of the results.
