I will like you to assist me with a loan of 8,000 Dollars
or whatever amount you can afford to borrow me to sort-out
my hotel bills and to get myself back home. I will appreciate
whatever you can afford to assist me with and I promise to
Refund the money as soon as i return.let me know
if you can be of any assistance.

That's the worst scam attempt ever haha. There's absolutely no incentive to lend that person the money. lol Thanks for the alert though

you could write back, saying that you think some scumbag STOLE said bag, and you'd be happy to go there and get her a ticket home... that usually freaks them out.

When a friend's account was hacked into, I wrote back as his ex wife, now with the police and told him I was bringing my police officer friends... they stopped writing Laughing

I believe these emails are really common in hacked accounts. Say they manage to get access to someone's email account, they will send those to friends/relatives pretending to be the original owner and ask for money. I hear they're quite successful actually... Sad

They often are quite successful unfortunately... Though in the case of the two friends this happened to, the first didn't have the cash to leave Melbourne, let alone London.

And as for the second? I do believe that being wheelchair bound restricted his access to conferences in Nigeria! (this was the one I wrote back to as the exwife)
