Hi folks,
I thought this might be of interest to anyone with some spare time on their hands. I've been getting calls from an outfit claiming to be the 'Windows security centre', the scam is covered here:

They invited me to call back on UK number 01865 600898 so if anyone has some throwaway numbers and fancies wasting their time it might be worthwhile. It doesn't look like a premium rate number to me, although I may be wrong.
I'm new to this (first post!) although enjoy reading 419eater - apologies if I have inadvertently breached any etiquette with this post.

I generally don't like to involve myself in telephone conversations with lads, I tell lads that I am hard of hearing and ask them if they own a TTY, which they never do.
Sometimes I look up phone numbers on http://www.payphone-directory.org/
Depending upon where I'm writing from, I look for outdoor pay phone numbers, so that any innocent bystander who happens to be near the outdoor phone answers it when it rings. I can only imagine what the bystander might think when he hears a heavily accented lad ask for Mr. Bill Ding or Miss Dodo Boyd.  |

^^^ I told a lad I could only use a TTY/TDD telephonic machine and dangnabbit if he didn't say he could use one of those.
So my TTY machine "accidentally" fell off my desk and went in for repairs.
The TTY machine in your photo must be of the new variety. When I was a TTY relay operator the machines our clients used look much more cumbersome and we operators had full computers reworked for relay call. |
