PETER UGONNA

DIRECTOR ELECTRONIC WIRE TRANSFER DEPARTMENT CBN

That language! Is he speaking English?

I fired back:

Mr. Ugonna,

Please do not email me using all caps, I find it very off-putting and rude. Do you not
know one of the most basic rules of internet etiquette, Mr. Ugonna?

You must NEVER email people using all caps. And you want to do business with me, too, which confuzzles me
even more.

Look, I am a sensible man. I am really interested in conducting business with you, Mr. Iguana.

How can we arrange it so that I can get these funds?

Oh, this lad will email me back . Look at the last sentence I wrote to Mr. Iguana.

Haven't quite figured out my character yet, though I am leaning towards being a doddering rich old fool.

The language isn't any worse than many highly-paid western-world corporate guys & girls. The syntax isn't 'too' bad by comparison.

As for the spelling, mostly it's typo's more than anything else.

EECIEPT - The 'R' key is right next to the 'E' key on a QWERTY keyboard. Fat, grubby fingers can do that for anyone.

ACCONT - I used to always screw this up when sending work-related emails (as a debt collector - so the word came up often!).

Except my 'missed key' typo was never passing over the 'U' but the 'O'. I couldn't tell you how many white-collar executives received formal communication in which I inadvertently wrote the word "accunt".

Only once did someone ever notice ! I think it along the lines of "Dear Mary, your accunt..... <blah blah blah> is in arrears"
