I have been fortunate to speak with men who were heroes in both World Wars, and from them and Richard Winters and from many others we learn that the true heroes are silent. They did not serve for glory but for their country and their comrades.

Like Yastreb,I have had the privilege of knowing veterans of both World Wars.I don't think there are any from the first left,and we loose more from the second every day.Thanks to all of them for our hard won freedom.RIP Major Winters.

Sad to see that Winters had passed away. He was a good soldier and i loved BoB.

It is truly a shame that no one at the national level picked up on the movement to award Winters the Medal of Honor. His actions certainly justified it.
