It isn't enough the younger people are slaughtering the English language with lingo, now we have "chatspeak" which makes it even worse, so now they cannot speak correctly nor spell correctly and it makes then unhireable.

And did you notice they cannot have a picture made with out hand gestures just like the gangs and incarcerated inmates.

If Koko weren't in this thread, I would think that this is the GOF (Grumpy Old Farts) thread.

I do appreciate that Koko like language and does not want to see it destroyed. I wish more "young'uns" were concerned about making language a septic tank.

The codes were a hit with my mum! Wink

A few years back, my niece, then in her late teens used to send me texts full of stuff like GR8, 2DAY, B4 etc etc - I used to reply with 'Say that again in English' Needless to say, she now writes 'proper' when texting me Laughing
