So, Ben Dover is being picked up by Prince Johnanna of ghana at the airport tonight at 9.20pm. I was to be taken to see the king of Ghana but a last minute change means the hotel manager will be picking me up to take me to a hotel for the night. Now I'm a bit of a dosy person so I might miss the hotel manager and be taken with my 50,000 euro suitcase to a different hotel, far enough away from the airport for a safari hat. Anyone got the name and address of a hotel in Ghana, far enough from Kotoco airport to get a safari hat? And maybe a good story to add to the nonses. I'll let you all know how my trip went tommorrow |

Yes, I kept changing the spelling of it further and futher during the bait , until the lad corrected me worried I'd go to the wrong airprt. Then I started again. Did the same with the prince's name. |

Ok, Ok, I can't believe my luck. My flight from London to Accra has been cancelled. For real! Lad hasn't noticed yet but I've got a perfect and REAL excuse to fly into another airport in Ghana! Come on, some suggestions? |

PJ Holidays, a tour outfit, has a shuttle from Kotoka to the Mole Motel, in the Mole National Park in Northern Ghana. It is not a bus, but rather a 4 X 4. I can't imagine how long it would take to get from Accra to Mole. Nearly a full day I'm guessing.
I think a general rule is 4 to 5 hours per 100 miles, although its probably slightly less in a 4x4. I'm sure this is something you could google.
To go to Ghana you need yellow fever and malaria jabs, and the yellow fever shot can really make you feel wonky. Just an idea.
Its roughly 300 miles, so that should get your safari. |

Oh, then definitely fly into Tamale! Its about as far from Accra as you can get. And there you can catch the shuttle to Mole....4 hours by 4x4! |
