If you're going to keep us updated, please post in the "publish your work here" forum.
It's behind a log-in not found b ysearch engines.
Less chance of your lad finding it should he Google your character's name.

Just another quick question(s) if I may, how long is to be expected for replies, and do you tend to get more replies at any sort of 'peak' time?

We tend to stick to one a day per lad max (if we can be bothered) and not spoil the lads with any more than that.
No matter how desperate they are. Otherwise they become like spoilt kids. Wanting attention all the time.

Some lads can't get into the cafes for three or four days. Don't worry about them. They are like homing pigeons. They'll come to you. Very Happy

@ Dino The biggest thing I learned was patience and delaying tactics. Sometimes I will get curious and read their recently-sent email, but I put a star beside it (I have Gmail) and then just let it sit for a day or two. That gives me a chance to decide how I am going to respond to the lad.

Sometimes you might get a second email from them complaining that they have not heard from you. One even asked if I were dead!!

When they complain about not hearing from me, I come up with an emergency knee replacement, auto accident, food poisoning and had to be in hospital, et al.

If you haven't taken money to Western Union (which I call Eastern Union to them or Western Onion), then I come up with some other delaying tactic. Brother got drunk could not drive me to the bank, etc. You get the gest.

I use a couple excuses for a delay... the more outrageous the better:

Food poisoning from spoiled badger meat.
Surgery to replace a missing baby toe after having it bit off by my hamster.
Chocolate overdose from blue M&M's

or my favorite:

Sitting up all night with my pet fish after he got a gillectamy. Very Happy

I'm pretty sure my lads don't read the email carefully, or you would think they might ask a couple questions about these excuses. I only reply once a day MAX, even if I get 2 or 3 emails a day from the same lad.

Hey guys, cheers for all the comments. I'm now in full swing (I think) with this guy and to be fair, it's such a laugh as he's a total idiot. Is it rude to talk about a lad like that? Very Happy

I'm trying to keep things as simple as possible at the moment. As it's my first attempt I don't want to get too involved with fake documents etc. just want to wind him up a bit, learn the ropes so to speak. Hopefully this'll help me learn how to get the most out of them.
