I can't seem to put up one thing on CL without getting ten emails with bad grammar telling me I will take the item and am pleased with the discription. I just got one and had them send the check to Fred B Ingersol at the FBI head quarters DC. Then when I got the follow up letter I told them the check was sent to FBI in DC and that we were coming for them. My hope is that they have a few sleepless nights and have to change all their collection points.
It may disrupte them for a week.

I used to have them send me the checks, they use FEDX or UPS and it costs them 15$ that they lose. I only use gmail because it does not forward any IP address.

Can I do more when I get this scam email or is this about it?

I see the OP is now suspended, but in case anyone else is wondering --

Please don't have the fake checks sent to any ITP -- and that includes police and the FBI. They don't have the resources to deal with random fake checks that show up in their office and the checks will probably just either sit around doing nothing or end up in the circular file. Don't have them sent to The White House or the Seattle Space Needle (or whatever it's called), or any other legit place. If you can't use the anonymous Eater dropbox (for Premium Members), then just use a totally fake address -- it still gets the check off the streets.

And the lads aren't paying for the UPS or FedEx to send the checks -- they are using either stolen credit cards (from victims) or stolen UPS/FedEx shipping accounts to mail them -- it costs the lads nothing. If you get a tracking number from a lad for a check and it hasn't been delivered yet, send the information to a mod and there is a possibility it can be intercepted before it is delivered and taken care of (if you have having it delivered to a fake address).

Very Happy

But I do agree with the OP that CraigsList etc are not really fit for purpose any more, they're absolutely *riddled* with scammers in the same way email globally is about 85% spam
