Lad wants (fake) documents and not money ?

This is a strange one......

I've got a lad who wants to transfer 200kg of gold to me. At the moment we're well before the Western Onion stage and the lad asks me to send some documentation to "prove" that the gold is rightfully mine.

Specifically, he wants this lot

1. Change of Beneficiary
2. Power of Attorney
3. Affidavit
4. Copy of the document that was issued by us when the deposit was made.
5. Full contact Details, Name, Telephone & Fax Number, Home Address and your C.V with your scan copy of your international Passport 1st and 2nd pages.

Now here is the thing.....
Lads don't normally GAF what documentation you send them, they just want you to send cash. But this lad is insisting I send him the above documentation (which is very specific) and he will not budge. I've sent him .dll 's and blurred scans but no dice. He wants me to photoshop up some convincing doc's which I obviously wont do for him.

I've since told this lad that I don't have all this documentation and have asked if me sending a " tip " [bribe] to his security company via WU help.... But still no dice Exclamation

Anyone experience anything like this Question

Very odd..

I'd take the line: "You want to send it to me, it doesn't belong to me... send it anyway!"

Sound like those are documents that he could supply for a 'fee'.

I suspect he's waiting for you to ask him for help with finding a suitable barrister...

As suggested above, he wants you to say that you don't know how to get them, then he can recommend a suitable barrister.

This is supposed to make it look more official--and make it look like he's not asking you for money--it's not his fault if you need help getting the documents...

I have been cautioned about sending documents I would prepare to send to a lad as ultimately those docs could be used with a real victim.

Make him find the barrister to do the documentation. Of course, there will be a fee.

I'd tell him I'm sorry, I don't have the documents and have no idea how to get them and bid him a fond farewell, since I have just received another offer of gold from someone else in Ghana. He'll become very oblging.

Yep, I've done that (6 days ago now) and he still hasn't got back to me. Similarly, no offers of someone who can get the right docs for a fee. He has flat out rejected my WU bribe remember.

I stand to be corrected on this one, but I'm pretty sure he wants the docs Confused

.... unless he gets back to me weeks later with an offer maybe.

The bait was getting boring anyway, hence dropping the lad.

Recently I've been getting unsolicited approaches from supposed lawyers in Ghana... I guess I'm supposed to be grateful for their services being available when a Bank or Security Company in Ghana says that I need a local lawyer for document signing.
