ITP home address, guidance needed

I've been badgering my lad for a few weeks using the new Western Union rules about requiring a bank account before any payment can be made.
He gave me the bank account of an ITP perhaps which I sent to Alan.
However after a couple of weeks of delaying he is still quoting the same account. He originally sent me an address of an office building along with the account. I of course complained. Now he's sent me a possible home address, confirmed in Brixton UK.
This could either be a mule, ITP or part of the scammers gang.
What should I do with this information. Do the police actually take this sort of stuff seriously. As of course I haven't sent them any money, has an actual crime been committed.
Should I attempt to warn this person, perhaps by letter. Or let the authorities take care of it. I'm not sure how they would view me baiting to be honest.
