finding lots of good tips around the forum

has anyone condensed the list into a best of and put them into a single outline/tutorial summary -- so we dont need to reinvent the wheel each time somebody new starts baiting ?

should include what NOT to do as well as suggested progression of hoops/problems to give the perp

- make sure you bait safe
- read the stickies and eater-u, read some published baits
- open a catcher account and a character account
- reply to 3 (or so) different kinds of formats
- play them straight and slow at first

Perhaps the best condenced essence of baiting is the below information from Nurse Nasty:

1. Play the part of a victim
2. Tell them you lost $35k to a scammer a few months ago
3. You would love to recover some of the losses
4. You have filed a police report and have documents ready

You'll be asked to pay a fee.

5. Confirm you can pay the fees
6. Ask them to complete a anti-terror document and several other forms available from many baiter's
7. Tell them you can wire the release to a bank account
8. Report the bank account and have it closed
9. Ask for another bank account as that one is not valid
10. Report this ban account and have it closed

Recycle this a few times. Even ask for a bank site you can pay direct.

11. Report fake bank site and have it closed down
12. Get sick of all these problems - Blame lad
13. Make offer of payment through alternative method
14. Western Union / Moneygram transfer requires a bill of receipt from your lads
15. They much provide some paperwork/documents of the exact amount for costs and transfer
16. ID from your lad is required
17. Make lad fill out Western Union Security Forms
18. Lad must complete ITV5 to receive MTCN

Lad gets frustrated.

19. Ask for a bank account you can wire the funds
20. Report bank account and have it closed

Give up. Plan to fly to lad location directly to recover your funds.

21. Have your lad search for suitable hotels
22. Make him scan brochures and prices of local hotels
23. Car hire is required - scans of car hire is required
24. Organise meeting in their office
25. Ask them for flight information - 'Book it'
26. Have them wait at airport at 3 am
27. Be held up in <insert stopover>
28. Resend arrival information
29. Arrive at 2am
30. Held up by customs in <insert stopover>
31. Call lad and tell them you have met with a representative of the EFCC in <insert stopover>
32. Tell lad you are with them right now and have handed over the funds
33. Hand phone to your 'EFCC contact'
34. 'EFCC' contact claims all is under control and he has the fees and that everything will be alright
35. 'EFCC' contact refuses to hand phone back to 'victim'

Frustrated lads begs, pleads, cries and yells at your fake 'EFCC' contact.

Send email 4 days later claiming you were scammed, and now you are stuck in <insert country> - Claim you are having another $10,000 wired to you to recover these new losses.

Ask if EFCC lad can help recover them. Please return to number 5 on this list to repeat process.

yes and no

a generic guide to be sure
since one size fits nobody
but only one complete guide
in one place
not thousands of tips tidbits orts and whatnot
scattered all around
even the university is a bit hard to use
(needs to be organised and consolidated)

clearly every lad is different
but it would be a starting point for noobs to work from

yes a lot there
but hard to use

needs organising and consolidation

way too long and too hard to read it straight through on screen

needs to be put into one short booklet to dl a pdf
and print for easy reading

What you're asking is impossible.

As others have already pointed out, there are so many different types of lad, using different types of modality, any condensed guide is going to be useless.

Take a look around the forum - if baiting was that easy, we wouldn't have thousands upon thousands of posts regarding the subject.

If you come up against something that you don't understand, then either use the Search function or ask. Getting a mentor is a must if you want to get good at the art.

In one sitting perhaps. But becoming a decent baiter is just like anything else - you have to put in time and effort. There is so much information, so many different approaches, that even the most experienced baiter never knows everything there is to know.

I think the problem is that it's as much a state of mind as anything else - it's tough to create a specific baiters handbook with tutorials etc as things change, every baiter is different, every bait is different, every scammer is different... The forums, stickies, university, mentors etc are all here to support you finding your own way, but nobody can tell you what you have to do step by step - baits never work out as you imagine, planning and step-by-step instructions don't work with the massive range of scam and scammer types?!

But please prove me wrong! If you feel you can collate the info in this place into a pdf printable manual that means anything, please do - you are welcome to, in fact, if the results are helpful to other baiters!

There isn't one right answer to most questions about baiting, there are many right answers. If you ask a question on the forum you'll get different answers, many of which could be "right".

need a starting point to build a base to start with
so the rest can be added on with less work

You don't need to know it all at once. The part about baiting safely and ethics is pretty much what you need to know to get started. Everything else you can learn 'on the job'. Use Eater U when you come to a loss as to what you can do to the lad next. A mentor can help you fill in those gaps too.

Finding your own personal style of baiting takes a little time. You aren't going to be learning it all in your first bait. Try a lot of different things. If it works well on the lad that's all good, if it doesn't move to the next lad and try something else. Just remember that when you lose one scammer, there's always another 1000 ready to take his place. You have lots of opportunities for practice. Very Happy

Take a random scam format from your catcher or from surplus.
Read it.
Pretend you believe it is real, and that you are interested.
Write a reply.
When your lad sends you a reply, read it, pretend you believe it, reply to it, etc...

The only thing you need to know before you start is how to be safe.

@edskar j hoover -- I joined this band of merry baiters back in mid October and began by just reading everything in Eater U and everything else I could find before I went to the Surplus Letters and picked out a couple I thought I could manage.

Then as the baits progressed (while waiting for my mentor to contact me) I would re-read some of the good material on here regarding baiting and I PM'd a couple people with some questions. The material is here, you just need to ferret it out. The "good base" is there; it is just up to you to find it as you need it, or recall where you read it. I seriously doubt Eater will put out a Baiting Manual any time soon if ever.

Google "Fonda Cox Guestbook" and add your catcher account to it. You'll get a ton of scams. Your catcher account may become deluged, and depending on your email service you may find it very hard to actually bait from it. Hence the use of other accounts for baiting.

Now, if you're using Gmail, you can create filters for various scams. Classify anything with "next of kin" in it as NOK, anything with "color and distance don't matter" as LOVE, etc.

You can then automatically forward different types of formats to baiting accounts. Come up with a character to use with romance lads, another for use with lotto lads, etc.

I'm finding that using filters is a great way of organizing things. I have filters in each of my character accounts for "Future Baits", allowing me to gradually add new baits from formats already selected to be interesting.

You may also enjoy batchbaiting. Simply go to the giant list of scammers' addresses, bcc a bunch with a scripted message. Boom, you now have say 30 baits going on. Maybe. I thought of a dozen things last night that I can do to drag out my number one lad.

Most are problably described here somewhere.
Good luck finding them fast.

I really want to put these suckers in jail.
But would settle for a nice safari with a pic or two.

Just jerking them around would not be a victory worth the time.
