Here's my first published bait!

Believe it or not, this is a "short" one. I won't even tell you how many hours it took to gather all the emails together, and format them nicely, etc. When I first came here, I wondered why more people didn't publish full baits. Now I know!

It is representative of my technique, which is largely straight baiting, but gets silly and surreal rather quickly when we get off script. Your feedback is most welcome.

Thanks to all the help I've gotten over the last few months on the forums!

If you take the time to read it, I would love your constructive criticism.

I've only read the first 2 mails so far and I'm loving it!

But I have an idea and I didn't want to get dilluted in LOLs and lose it: I couldn't so far go over all the site so this might have already occurred to some of you, but if not, a note to the admins:

Just as it's unbelievable that some people do fall for the simple scams, but it happens, then as this activity grows, it would be possible, though unbelievable, that a bater would get paranoid and fall for this hilarious "legal" scams.

So maybe a footnote or something, or just raise this thread to a new level of awareness.

And the Lad must be left with so many thoughts of 'if only...' and 'what if I had....?'

@branwen -- Yes, this was a fun one. Any time I get a lad off script, it becomes very amusing (at least for me). When "Mrs. Patience" said that real people would do whatever you ask within 24 hours, but that scammers wouldn't, I knew I had hit a gold mine! Wink

I loved the way you kept "misunderstanding" the scammer's instructions and sending the other guy all the money--thanks to Mrs. Patience's helpful advice.

Double false premises is a pretty gutsy scam. Sending someone money to avoid getting arrested simply makes no sense, at least not in this country. And you're guilty because you had been robbed by criminals? This was perfect for the "I'm so terribly confused..." responses because what isn't confusing about this?

I just heard that some fishermen caught a giant sea monster and when they cut it open, all kinds of treasure poured out including your two giant boxes of money. Now they are waiting for someone to claim this money if they can identify the boxes.

in real life, I was laughing so hard with the mis-direction and confusion you dealt the scammer banghead

Hmm, I'm working on a scammer using the name "Mrs Farida Waziri" too now. Using the same EFCC logo on her mails, but a different photo on the signature. Similar script too (The FBI is after my character for money laundering charges, and only her (expensive) certificate can save me from arrest).
Using a rediffmail.com address. IP tracks to Benin.

Wonder if it's the same lad? Smile
