Hello, I'm new to these forums. I was wondering if any of you have come across people claiming to sell "perpetual energy generators" to gullible and otherwise uneducated people. I don't have any real examples, but a quick google check brings up many scam webpages of people claiming to be inventors who are selling these.
Thanks,
Fatty

I think it's more common to ask for research investment, such as Steorn (google them) in Republic of Ireland do. They did a big press demo which unsurprisingly failed under the heat of the lights/whatever excuse and "worked consistently in the offices before coming out you'll have to take our word for it", etc.

Some people may say it's outright fraud, and until they prove otherwise, I'm inclined to agree. All free energy/perpetual motion machines ever presented have always been demonstrably fraudulent (powered by hidden cables, by the very cable that was tapping power, by air pressure differentials, etc), and it would seem unlikely Steorn have found a new way to violate the laws of physics as we know them. Maybe they have, and jolly well done to them if they have, they'll deserve every penny of the enormous wealth they'll make from it - but until that is demonstrated, I'll side with those who believe them to be smooth-tongued crooks (or at best delusional).
