iPad 64GB!! Wifi 3G - $470 (omaha / council bluffs)

For sale...
- iPad 64GB Wifi iPad 3G
- Original box with USB charger cable, 10W power plug, documentation
- Has been in the Apple case since day 1. Pristine condition. I wipe it with lint free cloth (yes, I am obsessed).
As for size, you have to go for the 64GB model. Once you load up a few movies on this thing (which look amazing), you are going to need the space. Don't kick yourself later.

Hi, I am getting back to you regarding the 64GB 3G iPad from Craigslist
My name is Arianna and I am now in Torino, Italy.
I am selling the ipad for $450 USD. I have attached some pics with it to this email.
The ipad is still available and I hope you are still interested. The ipad was bought brand new from Apple a few weeks ago.
About the ipad I can say it's in perfect shape, as I used it only for a few weeks. Included in the $450 price is everything that came with the ipad.
The ipad is here with me.
I tried to be as thorough as I could with the presentation so you can have all the info if you decide to go ahead and buy it.
Please get back to me and let me know if you like the ipad if you're really interested in buying it.
Thanks,
Arianna

So...
I haven't replied back yet. She sent three pictures of an iPad and accessories.
What should i do if i want to find out if it's a scam?
Thanks everyone!!

I'm VERY tempted to say it is a scam.
She's signing her emails professionally (which her job "title"), from a hotmail address.
She hasn't asked for any fees yet upfront, though I reckon it will be a case of "pay for non-existant products".
She also doesn't say how she wants to be paid - if it is Western Union, it'll be a scam
Can you post the email headers from Hotmail please? That will let us know where the person is located.
I'm sure others will be along shortly with other helpful insights. |

Just asked uncle Google:
The name Arianna being a Chief Logistic Officer seem to be related to a scam that involves a fake TNT-site. I guess that's to convince you that the phone has been sent and then you WU the money.
I say play along, and if the fake TNT-site and the WU transfer are present - Then you are absolutely sure that the lad is fair game
I'm almost certain that we have a lad here with all the signs already present |

Look familiar?

My name is Arianna and I am now in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.
I am selling the 46" Sony LCD, 1080p, full HDTV, 120 Mhz for $350 USD. I have attached some pics so you can see the condition of the TV.
The TVis still available and I hope you are still interested. This TV was ordered brand new 4 months ago.
About the TV I can say it is 4 months old and it is in good shape, no scratches, no dents as you can see from the pics I've sent. Included in the $350 price is everything the TV came with when it was new, including the original manuals and warranty papers. The TV still has warranty for the next 20 months. The warranty is fully transferable to the new owner.
The TV is here with me in UK.
I tried to be as thorough as I could with the presentation so you can have all the info if you decide to go ahead and buy it.
I have used the TV mostly for the news and movies, so I would say it has been only lightly used.
One more thing, the TV is an US version and it works on the US ***** and plug system so you do not need a converter to use it in the US.
Please get back to me and let me know if you like the TV if you're really interested in buying it.
Thanks,
Arianna

As suggested, please post over at SW if you haven't already, as it will help others to avoid the same scam. |

That listing is from Omaha craigslist and the seller is in Italy?!
Classic Hallmarks of a scam.
As already said, post the complete e-mail together with the full headers at Scamwarners.com |
