I just thought of this idea, I don't know how much it is done...

Rather than bait a lad from one e-mail address, bait him from like 12! 12 times the fun modalities and 12 times the evidence for getting piggies taken care of. Also a GREAT way to de-educate.

Do people do this all the time?

Yes, it's a well used tactic. Hard work though and you end up getting yourself more confused than the lad. Laughing

Fun if you can stay the course.

I'd say six characters is the max for any degree of success without working too hard. Wink

I have never heard of anyone going quite so far - it would be a little cumbersome dealing with so many addresses/characters.

Idea; Get the mugu's phone number , then forward it to lots of other mugus with the e-mail 'I just got your e-mail. Call me as soon as possible. Here is my phone number [insert mugu's phone number]. '

This can have a quick and easy impact, with relatively minimal work.

I did this during the Haitian scam epoch.
I baitied all , and I mean all, the scammers from 4 (only four) characters.
I learned a great deal, as I've yet to see anything to compare to the feeding-shark frenzy spawned by that earthquake.
Nothing.
As of yet.

It's much more fun to mass bait en famille, trust me Wink

2 or 3 in a row, one starts and after a week I show up with 2 who now knows the script and can block all his attempts for WU MG passport and such, 3 will show when 2 and 1 are almost done just to keep a hand on the friend. 4 will asem the same guy to see if he can get really confused.

I don't think I baited a lad from 12 addresses but I did bait a lad "a lot" at once. I lost track of how many addresses I had on him. It started with one main bait with me running about four characters. When he got frustrated because payments were messed up, he'd sometimes send a new format with new names to one of those characters. I'd sometimes bait that format from that character and also open a new account/new name and bait the format from there as well.
There were definite benefits to doing this, I got to know him pretty well and could really torture him. It did get a little confusing sometimes, there were three separate formats (lottery, widow and orphan) and he was running 8 or more characters. I was running about four ministry characters and two completely separate baits with a couple of characters.
He got more confused than I did, though. Twisted Evil

Here's the way I look at it...

I don't (well, I haven't) done much of anything besides straight baiting. I enjoy it. I seem to be able to get piggies out of lads rather quickly. That's mostly what I concentrate on. In fact, I haven't given out a single fake MTCN. I've only brought a chop into play once. I just work toward getting bank accounts by being stubborn.

The whole idea of getting piggies is to get them shut down. In some countries (like the UK) a lot of evidence is needed. If I get the same piggy 5+ times from the same lad, that evidence is much more damning than just getting it once. After you start getting multiple reports of the same piggy, it becomes very hard to ignore.

@bill2 and Ima Baeder, thanks for the ideas! I have a lad who's survived of three months of baiting to experiment on.

@SO- of course reporting accounts is good.
And so is observing lad pain over time.
Why not do both? Wink

Mass Baiting,

Hi, It does achieve quite a lot. You can test which "victim" is successful.
First impressions can be important.

On Hitlads I have 4 Magas. Often all 4 keep going.
Phone Lads just one. They are so easy.
Phone Lads piggies are no challenge.

End result, Use the characters to gain info.
You can collect much inteligence and sacrifice characters. Then hit with the one left over
Often you have most characters to play with the suckers er Lads.
