me mates working in PH and is trying to get me a job there.
these guys offered me a job,i sent copy of me passport and cv(i thought it was on recommendation from my mate)
they then sent me contract.
they sent me visa forms and wanted proof of my yellow fever jabs and medical
then i realized it was a scam
my mate confirmed it.
waitng for there next email
what u think,there gonna want me bank details for my "salary" next
any tips?

Break all contact - they have your RL info.

When playing with scammers, we make sure they don't know who we really are.
They know who you are, so you should not play with them. You know it's a scam, so you have no reason to ever contact them again, even when they contact you.

I may be reading this wrong but did you think this was legit to begin with then learned it was a scam?

So you sent a real copy of your passport and signature to them? What they can use it for is to scam other victims. I would also not be too happy if they had my RL info. I would drop all contact and read everything you can here in the forums (i.e. stickies) and eater U before trying any baiting.

Shelljob - glad you found out before it went too far ... but sorry it happened. These bastards stoop to new lows each day, I think.

Check out scamwarners.org as suggested above and let your friends know about it. Educate them before they become victims. Smile

As for reporting it - I would guess someone else that is more knowledgeable about the area can answer that. In the US I could speak with a little more knowledge like monitoring your credit regularly, reporting it to local cops and keeping the report if they even write it up. My guess is these lads are in for the quick money and won't do anything with the personal information.

I have some time as have put a number of lads onto ice until Monday - just, well 'cos I can and they haven't emailed me nearly enough yet Twisted Evil

if you are happy guess we would need the original email (at least) and ideally the whole script and subsequent letters - please post in Hints and Tips and then we can formulate a plan - I'm thinking lots of forms for lad to complete at some stage?

obviously not going to get your info back, but I'll bait him from a number of accounts and send him all sorts of rubbish - hopefully he will ask for money at an early stage? but if he does then he's was probably not so much after your RL details as money
