Well, there will be a lot of more experienced baiters who will come after me who can tell you exactly what to do, and more important: what not to do.
From my limited experience i have one advice: apply for a mentor, he or she can help you with every issue you come up with, i have found (and still finding it) very helpfull to have someone who can give solid advice.

I don't think you can tell if a bait is going to be easy or hard, just write to a couple of lads from the Surplus forum and if your bait fails, just start again. |

I agree with theblob and ditto to the advice given above. There is no way to tell up front how a bait is going to go.
What might help a little is to consider the type of scam you want to focus on (NOK, loans, lottery, romance, employment, etc.) - whatever you feel most comfortable with. Then grab 4 or 5 lads running that type of scam and give it whirl. You'll make some mistakes early on (we all do) but you'll get better at it as you gain experience.

Just make sure to read the Eater U, the stickies, the forum threads and stuff, to give you a good feel of the kind of things to expect. Your mentor will be invaluable if you're new to the game. BAIT SAFE. Can't stress that enough.

Yes.
The surplus section is where I post up the 'outstanding' scripts I receive in my catcher acount.
Do read read the stickies in each forum- treasure troves by any standard, especially the ones in the romance section.
