I've been straight baiting this banker for a couple of weeks now; he hasn't even gotten around to giving me WU information. He wants me to pick what account I should setup to complete the transaction; that choice afforded me all kinds of time to stall. Eventually I told him to go with the fastest; needless to say, that was the most expensive:

That conversion between pounds and dollars got me to thinking that the doorway was open to do some de-education on this one. I mean, no lad is going to deny that they were wrong if it means more money, right?

So I sent this:

I only point this out because I want to make sure it works correctly in reverse, when I get my money.

Please double-check this and get back to me. If I'm right, as I'm sure I am, what happened there?

Sure enough, my banker friend double checked his figures and found out that I was totally correct in this.

Of course, I would prefer a bank transfer.

The hope there is that he tries to use that massively inflated conversion rate elsewhere, which will be a red flag for anyone else.
