ATM card with a MasterCard number

Got this not long ago. It concerns me a bit as it has an actual 16 digit number. I don't know if it is a legit number stolen somewhere or they just made it up. In case it's a stolen number I will blank out the last 4 numbers. This is the 1st time I've seen the ATM card scam with a number presented in the e-mail.

It's a typical ATM format. The numbers are just made up.

Hello, I can understand your concern. I went on this website and checked the first digits of the credit card number and replaced the last digits of the number with 1234.

The weird thing is that the number that he gave you, belongs to Eurocard International, S.A, which is a real credit card vendor.

It might be an actual credit card number.

Unless the lad sent the expiration date you do not have enough information to validate the card. A card number without the expiration date is worthless except as bait in a scam.

Go to this site and if you can validate the card with the informtion that you have then the card can be reported.

Seriously,the number is just garbage.The first few numbers are the issuing bank,and as I recall a first number of 5 is a Mastercard,so it really isn't too hard to come up with something that comes back to a real bank.A lad would sell his mother before parting with information he could use to steal money.

The ATM number is just created by a scammer that forwarded by that email to you. IT is quite a typical ATM number so just ignore it. There are really people who can not do anything good.
