Apparently there is a new 419 scam going around wherein someone claims to be a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary attending a seminar in Malaysia and lost her wallet, followed by the usual appeal for Western Union money.

The twist here is that it is being targeted at members of the Auxiliary, who presumably would feel a need to help "one of their own" and not be as suspicious as they might be receiving an email from the "Solicitor of the Nigerian Bank" or some such. I haven't seen it myself, but it's pretty shameful.
