Is it just me or has somebody else experienced the same.
Since I started baiting I tend to manipulate people more frequently, preferred on the phone or via email.
Today the guy from BMW called me about giving back my old company car and receiving the new one. When he told me that I should come to BMW dealer I told him calmly that I was booked for the next two weeks from 10:00 to 20:00 and it would be hard to make it to the dealer. Now he is delivering the car next Friday.
Just after hanging up I realized that I talked to him like to one of my lads – it was really strange.
Even when I write emails to friends or business partners, I notice that I tend to write it in a baiterish way to get what I want.

Phoning the lads has changed baiting for me in a sense that it's more fun.
Just take a look at the ones I made today. I had so much fun and I'm probably still going to toy with the lad's diplomat. Laughing

Eater has given me more creativity to the point where my baits could inspire me to write my own novels again. It also made me not only read between the lines and not let anyone try to use me for anything anymore.

After nearly 3 years here, I've learnt that there is no such thing as a silly or stupid story. As anyone who read the exploits of Badger, 'Noid and myself in the Trousers of Time will know, lads would have believed that without a doubt.

I do find I'm writing more short story stuff to keep myself amused where I am at present, longer stuff takes a bit more, probably because of the time needed, and I'm used to the short story style with lads.

I guess you didn't read the diary of what happened. My good friend Irish even taught cockroaches to wrestle. It was the best thing ever! Smile

I used to do electrical remodeling and was helping bid a job. Had to go under a house to look at access. The underside of the house was crawling with the nasty beasts. Something I will never forget. I tried to herd them, but they just run all over the place. Ugggh *shiver*

Back on topic, I'm pretty sure I've always been like that subconsciously, but I have considered intentionally applying scambaiting concepts to certain groups I don't particularly like.

I know exactly what you mean, when it comes to not paying household bills on time, prematurely cancelling a cellphone contract or negotiating an early end to a loan agreement, baiting skills are invaluable. One call centre guy accused me (quite loudly) of chasing him round a bush, such was his exasperation. I didn't even threaten to smoke drugs in his grandfather's skull.

It has taught me to be even more careful about who I deal with, I was already pretty cynical before. Before I quit working for the cell phone company, I used to have alot of fun "accidentally" losing useless paperwork management wanted me to fill out and annoying the crap out of them.

10 years of security work and dealing with drunks, drugos, ciminals and losers has left me as a total bastard. Being threatened with everything from corrupt cops to losers with small arms, has caused me to not take anything at face value, and taught me to be able to think quickly about what I need to do to get what I want, or get out of a dangerous situation (same thing)

I think I have brought this attitute to baiting, and it seems to be working so far. now if baiting makes me a worse, and even more cynical, human hating, narcissistic bastard, well your all screwed.

Let me just reiterate what Irish and 'Noid said. The story is all true...

Not only does baiting teach and reinforce the agressive side of a baiter it also teaches eliciting responses by playing extremely dumb. you can often times find out more about what a business can do for you if you just play the sales person into an "honesty" mind set.

Does that make any sense, I over tired and enjoying a spring cold virus...

I think everyone should do it. It should be taught in schools, get a degree in it. In my job, I am pretty sure that some of my "clients" bait me regularly Confused

Well, apart from a wee meltdown earlier this year, ( and many thanks to a member here for pointing out where I was heading )I've become more assertive.
I also have a BS meter now

I love the imaginary world and island I live in, raising haggis, prize winning rennets and goats
I love being able to lie to lads and not feeling in the least bit guilty about it.
