Anybody got an opinion on which country tends to lend the most willing lads? In other words, have you found lads from certain countries to be more easy to bait, or certain countries with stubborn lads that are more difficult to bait?

Or are they all equally dumb and gullible? Smile

I've found that the lads from Nigeria and India are more frequent and easier. The ones from China or North Korea are harder.

But, although they may appear dumb and gullible, some are very smart. And would probably kill a baiter in a heartbeat if he/she could. I don''t think it's some much of them dumb or gullible, but more of being too greedy and being outsmarted.

Not at all, in fact, many I have baited have been rather intelligent.

Of course, many scammers are so dumb you wonder how they turn the computer on but generally speaking, a scammer, armed with an internet cafe computer and a few prewritten scripts is able to convince otherwise intelligent and educated people to send them money, sometimes very large amounts of money too, certainly not a sign of a dumb person.

Back to your question, I have found that location has little relevance to the scammers apparent intelligence. picking out 3 of the more intelligent scammers I can remember, there was one from Lagos, another from Ghana and a vlad would have to make up the 3rd.

What is often mistaken as stupidity is, in fact, merely an absence of cultural overlap.

Now, don't get me wrong. I've baited several lads that were genuinely idiots. But it's certainly not as common as most think. That said, you'd be wise to incorporate that into your baiting style. Wink

Dwatina: I've had a lot of lads TELL be they're from China, but I've never actually confirmed it. Quite the opposite is true, in fact. Honestly, although Chinese and Hong Kong bank accounts tend to be pretty common amongst lads, I've never encountered a lad actually living there. Same with North Korea (minus the bank accounts). Apelord is your friend. Wink

^^Nick--I've noticed that as well. Most of the "Chinese" scammers are in Nigeria.

I have baited a lad or two from the far east.

I totally agree with you so far as the absence of cultural overlap and not being mistaken for stupidity.

And I'm familiar with IPs and tracking them. Thanks Smile

I often bait as a 10 year old American girl, and no lad has challenged it yet. Not because they are stupid, but because they have no experience of young Americans.
I doubt my character would fool an American.

If you get a 'Chinese' Nigerian, do get him to ring you, it's hilarious! I got a call from the manager of the Bank of Thailand, Japan. Rolling Eyes

The Phone Gang, for lack of a better term, have been calling actual lads in China for months now. Most of the ones we have talked to sounded like Nigerians, but Miss Wu and her group were Chinese.

The country doesn't seem to matter much as to how smart the lads are.

Some Chinese, Malayians and Indians, go through Nigerian servers as i believe they don't have internet fraud laws to prevent this......
