I received a phone call on Tuesday and it came up as international (I have caller display). A woman claiming to be from a company calling itself "Reclaim" wanted to send me about £2000 in bank charges. I figured this was some sort of scam so hang up. She used the name "Rebecca Williams" which seems to be common amongst scammers (do they not have any imagination?). I did a google search but nothing has come up so figured this is a new scam. It has spooked me a bit as they have my name, address and phone number despite me being ex-directory. |

Are you sure they have your name and address? If you dial a range of phone numbers sequentially, some of them will be ex-directory. |

Yes - they asked for me by name and read my address out with no prompting from me (well, the streetnumber and postcode). |

Thanks for that - the call was international though and woman spoke with an African accent. I suspect that this is a new variation and just hope other people do not fall for this. I looked on here and googled but found nothing. I suspect that this will be on news soon though. |

I've had one of those. Sounded very suspicious so I put the 'phone down on them, they then sent me an automated recording.
Sometimes the scam is just to get you to call a premium rate number. |

my stupid sister in law gave a payday loan place my wife's personal info for a reference. we received similiar calls for over a year. just ignore them and dont worry about it. |
