This is my first time and it was fun.
It took me a week to get yahoo to shut this address down, but just before I was notified "they took action" my "friend" sent me a phone number.
I missed out on the original "deal" since I wanted 50%. I sent an email wishing "her" the best with her new money and to be careful she didn't get scammed.
This is the last Email thread saved, it starts at the bottom.

Mrs. Gardner,
Nice to hear from you again. It sounded like you were all set with your plans. I did not want to pester you in regards to your business transaction.
I would not mind having a pen pal if you like. Well it's a nice 68 deg F (46 c) this morning, I'll bet it's hot there. I'm sure soon you will be living large soon.
Don't spend all your money in one place.
Later,
Mr. Guss

Hi DDK and welcome!
I'm glad you've had fun with your first time baiting. Hope you've got some others lined up for some more fun now.
It's best not to get Lad email addresses shut down, though. The Lad just goes and opens another one immediately - and carries on scamming as if nothing has happened. But now he has a new email address that nobody has posted warnings on the internet about.
Often baiters, near-victims, and ex-victims post warnings about scammers, and, of course, include their email address. Then, any time in the future, a new potential victim, if s/he gets a bit suspicious and decides to google the email address of that person who is writing to her or him, Google will show lots of results saying 'This is a scam!' And that could save another victim from losing money to the scammer.
This only works, of course, if the Lad keeps the same email address. If he changes it - there will be no scam warnings anywhere about that new email address. And then a potential victim will miss the warnings.
So: do let the Lads keep their email addresses, so we can help to save real victims. And do continue to take up their time by baiting them - because taking up all their time can save real victims too! |

I don't want to guess the number - But, lad, isn't that the best fun to be had with MoneyGram reference numbers? |

Thanks for the advice.
I don't have any other friends lined up at this time.
I see I'll have to sign some guest books with a collector address.
Maybe I need an internet phone too?
Do I feel an addiction coming on?
Is gmx.com okay to be using for email? |

Or... you can look in the 'Surplus 419 Scam Letters' forum for lots of choice. Just answer them from your own baiting email address, as if you received them there. Lads won't notice, or mind - they just want to find a new victim!
You don't 'need' a phone (I never make/receive phone calls!), but it can certainly help your baits if you have one.
I don't know anything about gmx.com - you could ask about it in Scambaiting Help, Hints & Tips - somebody else is bound to know! If it is your 'real life' email address though - don't use it. You don't want your baiting characters to have any connection with the Real You. You'll want one set up with all fake details.
