Has any baiter on here ever run in any marathon.

If so what training did you have to do, how long for.

What sort of diet were you on.

What sort of support did you get from your family, friends, employer.

Where did you stay the night before and what time did you have to get up in the morning.

What did you do after the marathon.

I get tired just driving 26 miles and 385 yards (42.195 kilometers for you Metric System freaks). Why on Earth would you think of doing such a thing?

Are you still sure about the date? I think you'd have to run very fast (relativity-theory-fast) if you want to make the marathon on the 25th of march this year Wink

I do shorter distances and find that the best thing to do is to lose weight. My SO has done 14 marathons and half marathons and I see a direct correlation between time and weight with no changes to training. Training consists of 7 miles in one hour three times a week. I had a one way conversation with my dentist this week. He does no training and recently completed his 5th marathon. He told me while he had his fingers in my mouth that he can finish because he knows to eat and hydrate.

My brother in law is running the London Marathon again this year.
He's up to 15 miles 3 time a week at the moment with a couple of shorter runs thrown in. He's 58 and only took up running 10 years ago. Thin as a rake - always looks ill. Totally dedicated to running. Does everything his trainer tells him. Spends a lot of time with a physio. Stark raving mad if you ask me.
