Dell's tech support does leave much to be desired. Every once and a while you get someone who actually knows what they are talking about. If not, in the end you will be told to reinstall your OS. Norton Go Back has saved me more times then I care to remember.
I paid for the service so they will replace broken or worn parts and cover accidental damage. I fully expect parts to stop working. Especially the non essential parts like the fancy lights. I am willing to bet the face plate to my PC alone is a couple hundred dollars
I paid for full coverage on my last PC and Dell ended up replacing both optical drives, the hard rive, and the video card. As we speak, my son is working on getting a new video card for his laptop. All they need to do is finish trouble shooting it then they will send someone out to replace it. I am told this particular video card is expensive.
For those interested, I don't drive without insurance either. Also, I don't drive a cheap car. I really worked hard to have certain luxuries. Andale pues, Slightly
