Cyberwar - War on the Internet: (please excuse the poor translation)

Currently my website Facto24.de is together with 5 other consumer fraud-protection sites (which are run by my friends and partners in Germany) under massive DoS-Attacks.

Since 4 days, six well-known consumer protection projects in Germany are no longer accessible. The pages are under massive bombardment of a DDoS (Denial of Service) attack.

In this type of attack on a web page a BOT network generates mass requests of the affected sites, which serve to bring the server to overload and eventually crash. Subsequently, the sites disappear of the net and as a consequence of not more accessible - the page is gagged.

With DDoS attacks, the Internet Mafia has already attacked last year victim support sites and unwanted consumer sites where temporarily silenced. We alo remember DoS attacks on 419Eater and other anti-419 sites

Affected are currently:

http://konsumer.info, http://gegen-abzocke.com, http://www.autosecu4u.de, http://www.facto24.de, http://www.auktionshilfe.info, http://aisha-blog.1on.de

These pages have in recent times dealt with the issue of fraudulent webshops and warned consumers to fall for alleged bargain stores.

Hundreds of consumers were warned, and were prevented from losing their money.

The criminal police in Berlin had the opportunity to inform consumers on these pages, where they could report fraudulent webshops. Then new information was used on bank accounts of fraudsters, and criminal charges have been made.

The alleged webshops belong to the so-called "Romania-connection", a subsection of the so-called "Russian Mafia" in the jargon as "Vlad's" and are currently very successful with their criminal activities.

As the criminals are operating from Eastern Europe they are determined to German authorities and are very difficult to arrest.

Anyway Interpol was successful and arrested some of the gang-members. Here you can see a video of arrests that have been made last week in Romania:

At present, the site operators develope counter-measures with their hosters and are sporadically available again.

Update:

In the meantime the DoS-attack has backfired on the scammers Very Happy

They have underestimated the power of the internet

Major anti-scam- sites in Germany have shown solidarity with us and our problems with being attacked and thus censored

The result of their stupid action:

the names from the fraudulent web-shops are now shown on all major anti-scam sites and others in Germany and from every Minute its becoming more and more sites where people can find that information - it will be unimpossible for the scammers to attack each and every of this sites Laughing

I have received an offer from http://www.gomopa.net/ to get my site hosted in the U.S.A. on a very very safe server that belongs to this big network so it will be safe from such attacks in the future.

The site http://konsumer.info has moved to that safe place already and has protection from very skilled technicians

My site: http://www.facto24.de will probably follow by tomorrow to that safe harbour Twisted Evil
