Fraud bust:
On June 2, a detective was informed by federal authorities that a package of $500,000 worth of fraudulent checks from Nigeria had been intercepted that was scheduled to be delivered to Daly City. The detective prepared a search warrant for the address and discovered large amounts of evidence related to additional fraud schemes. The suspect was arrested and put on an immigration hold since his student visa from Indonesia was five years overdue. |
