Help me clutter a FAKE craigslist site

I keep getting emails from some identity thief claiming that for security reasons I must click on a link in the email to change my Craigslist password. (how dumb to they think people are). Anyways, I copied the address of the site it directs you to (which is NOT affiliated with Craigslist by the way):

http://crailist.limewebs.com/wp-acc/index.htm

I like to go on there and enter in fake IDs and passwords. I figure that each time someone enters in something, some scammer piece of s### has to go on the real Craigslist site and enter it in. Just like baiting, this should keep them busy if they are stuck entering in thousands of fake IDs. I even like to throw some funny IDs in like MikeHunt, etc.

If everyone goes on and enters in a few dozen, maybe it will make a difference........ just make sure that your anti phishing/virus program is turned on just in case.

It's a phishing page. You should report it to Craigslist, they'll make sure it gets taken down.
You can also report it here: http://www.phishtank.com/ and report it to its hoster.

Your idea about entering fake info: There was an anti phishing site that had a program to do that, it flooded the link with fake info. The site I knew of looks to be taken down now, though. Anyone know of another one?

Thanks and good call. I would be interested in finding out about that program as well, as I post on Craigslist a lot, so I am always getting these junk links.

You could write a short Perl script to hammer their forms with random junk. A few million hits would be good.

Sort of like "Honeypots".

Set aside a page on a website with nothing but a very long list of mailto links pointing to nonexistent garbage E-mail addresses.
Some spammer's mail harvesting robot comes along, sees this page, thinks it's struck gold and adds them all to the list. The result being that the spammer ends up selling on useless addresses, or has to waste their time going through the whole list trying to confirm if they're for real or not.

Whoops ... nearly missed it. It's the two posts your out rule. Mods so hate post whores. See what they did to Steward - he was hard to keep quiet I admit but demodulation is going too far.
