It's all clear, or at least should be. Life is suffering. Steward is detachment. By his very acts, he shows us the way, the path, the road to enlightenment. Can we not see the message, writ so clear it blinds us?

We have another visitor who gets welcomed with total nonsense (poor bugger) and nothing from steward.
I renounce steward and all his two (or three) sentences of wisdom. If I am damned, then so be it!

I am certain St. Steward (notice how easily that rolls off of the keyboard) would be proud of the manner is which we have pontificated with out palaver. We had agreed while being less than disagreeable or vice versa. We have embraced iMike without squeezing the life out of him.

SOOI has become a more genteel rodent do to his closet encounter with Steward. It is truly an awe in spiring site to behold.

After thousands of seconds of contemplation, I too am convinced that we, the collective Stewardians (including the reticent iMike) ARE the third post. Like the third rail on a subway system in NYC or Chicago. We are the three legged dog of life! We are the three legged man (or chicken, it depends on which came first).

Steward IS the ANSWER, He is bringing noobie converts even to his very thread.

I speak in Steward in the masculine because it gets tedious entering all of the PC "he/she, s/he it (and if you say it too fast is sounds like sheit and I can still taste the soap from my childhood). I hope that no offense was received as none was sent.

Fowan, please take a Valium or three. It will help you calm down and see the world through diluted eyes. The new convert - pilgrim will soon be made to understand that he (see above discussion about PC titles) landed right where Steward would have wanted him to be.

Granted, there is a New Member's thread, but in the welcoming spirit of StSteward, he is not one of us!

Fowan, I can tell that you are just feeling for the noobie and you are not a leaver of the Stewardites. You still realize and give credit to the Wisdom that is Steward. Take a little nappie and you will wake up refreshed and inspired once again (or if you never were, you will be for the first time).

As we all know, they never leave for long...

I think you may have misread my post. Or at least misunderstood it. I still recant nothing. My concience is clear. I follow no mythical being. Logic is the only answer.

Stewardism is the great cop-out, the great excuse to evade the need to think and evaluate evidence. Stewardism is belief in spite of, even perhaps because of, the lack of evidence.

iMike, why do you hate Steward so? Why do you feel you must rebel against Him? He only wants to thank us all (or you). His parting words say this very thing! Please don't deny him when he comes knocking on your heart and wishes to enter.

I can see I was too cryptic, although satirical allegory is always a useful tool.

To the uninitiated: Buddha was the first to tell us that life is suffering, and that the way to peace and enlightenment is detachment. Steward is nothing less than the latest incarnation of this eternal verity. By detaching himself from us (us, The Eater, for Buddha's sake!) he has shown his willingness to renounce the pleasures of the earth and by his sacrifice show us the path once again.

There will always be those who view the world through the lens of cynical self-absorption, pretending to be "rational" or claiming to be in possession of unique tools of analysis (as if GPS would show the route to enlightenment, to pick but the most obvious example). There will be those who pretend to be lower life forms at the same time. Steward has taught us to put them all behind and focus on the true goal, and for this, I am simply grateful from the bottom of my heart. Is this not the true message of the esoteric and occult Third Oracular Post?
