I am baiting a deathbed lad wanting to give me all his money for me to give to charity. Nothing unusual there, but in this one the bank requested my personal info and then responded with a username, password and a link that supposedly allows me to log into my new bank account. I've never seen them operate in this way before.
I have not clicked on the link and have just told the lad that my browser gives me a blank screen when I do.
Has anybody run across such a thing? Out of curiosity I am considering booting up with a live linux CD and giving it a click but I haven't done that yet. |

That is a fake bank. The lads have set up a website to look like a bank. Victims can log in and see their imaginary funds. Please pay a visit to the fake banks forum and post the information there. That way the website can be closed down, which stops victims being convinced by it and costs the lads money. If you get it closed down yourself (there's instructions and mentors available,) you can get a flag icon for your signature. |

Can you post the link, but edit it to start hxxp to stop it being clickable. I expect it's just a fake bank site set up to convince victims that the money does exist.
I did see something similar a while back. |

Thanks, I forgot there was a special forum here for fake banks, I should have posted there in the first place. I'll go do that, but here is the link you asked for.
