I know that Badgers are rare, but has anyone actually seen one with an IP address originating from Nigeria, Togo, ect.?

I've never even seen a badger, they are very rare. That being said, even if you get a badger, the chances the ip traces back to the classic scammer countries are very low. most scammers have no idea that baiting is such a sport. They just think they run into a 'joker' from time to time. It's not like they point at one gang member and they say "you distract all these jokers while we focus on the real victims". Also, they want to spend their time in the internet cafe as good as possible, they don't want to waste it on people they know will never pay.

No, from what I've read here, a badger seems to be someone from a more well-faring country, making his english sound bad to impersonate a lad. Let me put it this way: The odds on finding a badger are as big as finding extra-terrestrial life. Finding a badger from these countries are as big as finding extra-terrestrials which all are exact clones of Scarlett Johansson and Catherine Zeta-Jones in her younger years.

Thank you for planting that clones image in my mind...may I be the first to welcome our new alien masters to Earth and help them with their tests.

EDIT:apparently there was some question or other about Badgers....Nope, badgers are relatively rare and usually easy to rumble. They're also class A fuckwits when they could be putting that same amount of work towards baiting real scammers. But seeing as we choose who to bait, from our own secret email addresses, the odds are minute. As for a badger in a scamming hotspot (believe me, it's not just West Africa), yes it's theoretically possible, but with even more to lose and nothing to gain, why bother?

Back to our new supreme overlords for me...a breeding programme you say?

If the IP originates to Nigeria there is no way he/she could be a badger. It would be a complete and total waste of good scamming time.

You can and do get sarcasm sometimes from lads who've been baited to within an inch of their lives. Just as previously hooked fish become baitshy, the brighter lads may come to recognise the signs of the 'joke man' and who knows? They might think they're clever enough to get a bit of revenge on us. However, as someone above said, they wouldn't waste too much time on it, and they never understand why anyone would want to play games with them. The pursuit of someone else's money takes the highest priority, in fact, there's little room for anything else in their tiny brain. Maybe an educated lad is what you have.

Nigerian badgers are knowns as Ladgers.

I've only ever come across one that was any good. He knew from the start that I was a baiter and played along.
Luckily, he wasn't able to tattoo me though.

I have had 2 lads, coincidently both from dakar, who (I believe) at some point realized what I am but kept playing along to see where I would take the story. I noticed because the replies got shorter and less emotional to catastrophic events. At that point I would let them fizzle out slowly.

Before they realized:
- I hurt my toe
- Oh my beloved darling, please I hope your toe feels better, If only I were there with you to take care of your toe.

After they realized:
- I was tortured by the Nigerian police, altho they knew all along that I was innocent.
- Ok, so when are you coming?

I don't think that makes them badgers though, since they started out as genuine scams.
