This is the first time I have baited, so any advice from members
is welcome. Also, if anyone wants a piece of these thugs, they are
open for business, and they even asked me for referrals.
___________________________________________________

Here's how it began. About 30 days ago I received a call from
a guy with a thick Latin accent claiming he was calling to "refill"
my Hydrocodone perscription. He said they could over-night it
to me via FedEx, and I would have meds by noon the next day.
I questioned why he said “refill” since I had not ordered from
his company. He rambled on without really saying. He then
said he could offer 80% discounts on all pain meds, and asked
what I usually pay…then said $500 for a 2 month supply of
Hydro 180 count. And, to boot it will be COD.
In addition to his unprofessional, untrained sales pitch, he unknowingly
gave himself away by including 'Oxycontin 100mg' in the list of
available drugs. Anyone familiar with this drug knows that no
100mg Oxy (not even the real 80mg) is available online, or any
method other than in person directly from your Dr. Even real Dr.
cannot fax/call this drug in for you. So, after asking questions
like “you got my number from whom?” and “how does COD work?”
he had given me more than enough reason to suspect scam.
His hard-sell pitch and desperation in his voice…like he really
needed this to work, so he was going too far and trying too hard.
I will post more details when I have more time, but here is a summary:

Caller’s name “Johnny” (Latin accent)
Method of payment: Western Union ONLY. Make payment to:
Michael Nunez, Dominican Republic, Bali
Phone numbers they call from: 305-787-4716, 305-848-8145
and, most recently on 01/06/2010 from: 239-234-1136
Name of company: The Warehouse Pharmacy

Here is where my rookie baiting came into play.
I said proceed with my order. I want it COD, so send it to me and
I will call WU when it arrives. Or, I will pay with my Amex or Visa.
He said it HAD to be WU, but tell the WU agent you know the
person you are sending it to. Otherwise, he said it won’t work.

While on the phone I Googled key words and found out
more...

For years, the Food and Drug Administration has warned that it is not safe to buy medications from pharmacies and websites outside the country. Now, a new scam from Bali, Dominican Republic is such a scam, that NO DRUGS ARE EVER DELIVERED! —an crime ring.

The SCAM works like this: Victims are first called with an offer to buy discount prescription drugs by wiring funds to the Dominican Republic. After you send the money, however, the medications never arrive. Most recently, the scammer calling you is urging you to make a Western Union payment claiming it is 'COD' and that you will have a chance to inspect your package, but no such 'COD' option exists. The caller tells the victim to send the money to Bali, Dominican Republic, in the names: Santana, Nunez, Martinez, and others.

Then comes a second sting: Scammers call their victims back, this time pretending to be FDA special agents. The “agents” tell their victims they’ve broken the law and must pay a fine of several thousand dollars to avoid being jailed. (Real FDA officials would not call consumers to demand money.)

The FDA has issued a warning about this scam. In the several instances reported, consumers who received the calls are believed to have previously bought drugs from overseas pharmacies via phone or the Internet or have been past victims of identity theft. The agency won’t release any other details about this scam, which began in November. Because there’s an ongoing investigation, FDA spokesman Christopher Kelly declined to comment on the number of victims, the medications offered are hard to buy drugs like; Vicoden, Oxycodone, Xanax, Lortab, Hydrocodone, etc. However, they have no drugs, there is no Pharmacy, shipping department or order placed. Just a criminal calling to steal your money!

More details to follow…gotta go.

Update:

Johnny claims his system is down, so no Visa. WU funds only. Now, for my inconvenience he is throwing in 20 free pills, so 200 count for $500
and it is still COD because i get to inspect my package before i release the funds by giving the FedEx driver a 10 digit code...wtf? Johnny is a real dipsh*t. He claimed earlier that he would have my tracking number prior to paying, due to my hesitation, and reluctance to pay WU. When i pressure him for the Tracking number he says the system is down. I said he had to give me something that proves it is really on its way. Here's what this waterhead said: "Mr **** i would not lie, Mr ****! i am taught at very young age when i was born to be truth! i am a Christian, and i go to church every Sunday!" i tried to explain why that proves nothing, but he repeated, and babbled on about his honest upbringing. lol! Whenever a client called me or came to my office i would say "i will call you back" since i had earlier explained to him that i was at work. During the wait he slammed my cell with 30 f@cking calls! Then i call, but mailbox said "full" but he saw where i tried and called me again saying "sorry i missed you Mr ****" then back to "Have you made the WU payment? Please, please make the payment. My manager will fire me if he knows i processed your order without payment!" then, when pressed again for tracking number he said he cant give w/out WU first. He sent a very brief email with a order number as proof. No company letterhead/signature etc., a sloppy attempt indeed from this address: [email protected] with this message: please, can you call back at 302-689-6738 ext 5911. My manager needs to talk you. you have not made transfer.

Interesting....They have my cell number...I was not worried about that,
but what about my address? They have it as well. Should this in any way
be reason for caution, or even quitting entirely?

I've been wondering for a while whether anything can be done about those Viagra spam messages, because I get more of them than anything else. I suppose I'll just have to try it and see, and hope I don't get signed up for more of them.

If they have your personal data, drop them immediately. If you wish to re-bait them you can always do so from an anonymous addy, with a non-existant adress. Even though the chances are small they'll come after you, it's not worth the risk. Create yourself a new account and re-start the bait Smile

Happy baiting, bait safe and get yourself a mentor! Smile

Thank you. I will take your advice.

There was a time in my life when I might have fallen for this. I hate to think of how much they steal with this scam, and get away with it, since
the majority of their victims never even report it.
I hope to raise their blood pressure one day soon, but in the meantime...
let me know if any of you guys slap them around, too! Twisted Evil
