Sorry if this has been touched on before...

After about a month and a half of baiting this one lad, I am pretty sure I found the real him on Myspace. Any suggestions? Does this do me any good? His myspace doesn't have a lot of personal information I could use in the bait, but is there any suggestions about things to do when you find your lad's real identity online?

PS... If anyone is curious as to why I think I've found him, I will try and explain briefly. My lad has been talking to me under a fake name, I did the standard ask for a picture with a password phrase early in the bait. He complied with a horribly photoshopped picture that was obviously not him. I pretended I believed him. Now he is set to meet me, but he mentioned he might have to send an associate if he is busy. (IE... the real him is going, but he knows that the pic and passport he sent me way back is fake, so the real him is his "associate".) So I told him I needed a picture of his associate to make sure I gave the money to the right person. We have been bickering over this for a few emails, with him being stubborn. Finally today he told me his "associate's" name, and said his associate would show an identity card when we met. So I took this again to mean that the name he gave me is his real name. I looked up the name on myspace, and there is only 1 result, and sure enough it is in the African country that my lad is meeting me in. (He has two myspace pics, and one of them actually shows him sitting at a computer in a crappy plastic campfire chair). Anybody think there's a good chance that this ISN'T my lad?

Why not see if scammerboi has a facebook and twitter account as well. Couldn't hurt.

For the record:

I did indeed find him on Myspace. He finally complied and sent me a picture of his "associate" today, and low and behold it is a picture from the myspace account I found! Smile

Oh man, I just did a google search of his name and now found him on a free dating site! I am tempted to let my dear lad meet the "love of his life".

I tend not to believe anything I see on Myspace or Facebook.
