the blue vertical line contained in lads mails

can anyone tell me what the blue vertical lines are contained within lads emails.

they appear to cover or underline certain words.

i thougt they may be from MS word but that is not possible as they do not cover or underline words spelt incorrectly, and the spellcheck line from Word does not paste over to mails anyhow.

what are they, and why dont the lads remove them as they are uniform of spam and scam mails.
is it just my shitty computer that displays them???

where do they come from???

why do they only appear in the first and second, long prewritten 419 mails,

Anyone help?

If you posted a screenshot we'd be better able to help. Just blur out anything you don't want us to see. Could be the quote function thingy too.

sorry it came out so bloody small, but can you see the vertical blue lines contained within the text, if you can enlarge it it in anyway you can see better, sorry its so small, i fell like an arse!!!

Mh, looks like a background image to me. Maybe the scammer is using some kind of Outlad Express stationery? It's hard to tell with that image.

Some email and word processor programs put wavy blue lines under
misspelled words or words they don't recognize.

I believe it's your e-mail server. They highlight certain words and phrases so they can push more advertisement crap at you. Yahoo does this alot, and I believe Gmail as well.
If you move your cursor over the highlighted text, it should show a url link.

More and more lads are sending HTML e-mails with all kind of pictures, backgrounds and other crap in a bid to be "more legitimate" Sometimes the HTML is not processed correctly, or certain parts are blocked for security reasons ( i.e. remote images that can be used for tracking ). Look into options of your e-mail client and see if there is a option to disable HTML rendering or something. There should be at least two regarding HTML - one is for sending and affects e-mail sent from you, the other should be for e-mails that your e-mail client receives.
