Sounds like a warner got your address somehow, probably a cc on an email. Just reply with "Thanks, I'm a baiter, glad to hear you're helping people stay safe".

There is a genuine Ocean Finance in the UK. Someone could be impersonating them for a loan scam, but if so, why a warning without a scam email?
EDIT. He's signed a guestbook at http://www.419baiter.com/guestbook/

I don't think it's an angle, the warner advocates just hitting delete. Just reply that you're a baiter, maybe even mention that scamwarners.com offers a victim support function and that the warner is welcome to refer people to it if they like Smile

These kinds of warnings are pretty common. Especially if a lad accidentally puts a bunch of addies in the To or CC, not BCC field. One of the recipients recognized it as a scam and decided to warn the rest.
If you search your old mail or spam for his address, you may find him along with yourself and a whole bunch of others in the To or CC of one of them.

If you're afraid it might be a probe from one of your ongoing baits, then just ignore it, otherwise you could send a thank you note. (Yes, some of us are paranoid enough to think such things.)

EDIT: The bad English might very well be due to the sender not being a native English speaker.

Yea, you are a little too paranoid. It's hard to believe, but out there on the internet, somewhere, there are nice people too Wink

And yes, some of you seem to forget that not all countries have english as their native language, so forgive him the spelling mistakes Razz

Just let him know you are a baiter (sigh, doesn't anyone read my sig? Do I have to make it even flashier?) so he knows you are fine.

Close which email address? His own? Why? If he's using it for baiting, then the whole point of it is to receive scam-mail. A warning mail coming in doesn't mean a thing.

@ philipJfry.
That looks pretty genuine to me. You might just want to thank the guy and then move on and forget about it.

I'm pretty sure that Devil Woman is saying to close the baiting character address, not the warner.

As I've said, receiving a warning in that address is no reason to close it.
