@Nanny - I'm sorry to hear that you are unable to visit your father. That must be one of the hardest things about your outbreak - not being able to be with him or even talk to him, given the phone situation.

Be wary off them, it may seem like a "off work for a few weeks" type of illness, but my cousin died of shingles aged 40, first person to die of it in the town I live in for almost 30 years  |

I'm feeling a lot better today, at least the flu like symptoms have gone
@ Gaz it can be a very nasty virus, whether as chicken pox or shingles it can cause fatal complications. I'm sorry to hear you lost someone close
@ Titania my dad actually managed to call me from his mobile, sounded better than he was, still on an iv drip though.
I should get in to see him soon as I've no more blisters |
